Turkey Driving License

You can obtain a driving license that will allow you to drive in Turkey if you register with an authorised Driving Course and pass all examinations. Next, you are required to present the relevant documents to officers at the local Transport Registrar (Trafik Tescil Mudurlugu) which is at the local police headquarters.

Application for a Driving License

1. Photocopies of the document obtained from the driving course
2. Original of the certificate
3. Original and a copy of the identification card
4. Original of the diploma
5. File from Drivers Association (The documents in the file will be filled in in accordance with the information on the identification card)
6. Blood group document
7. Expenditure receipt from the Ministry of Finance (According to the driving license class)
8. 2 photographs

Changing of Foreign Driving Licenses into Driving Licenses of Turkey

1. The translation of the driving license approved by the notary or the embassy
2. File from Drivers Association
3. Original and a copy of the identification card (residence permit for foreigners)
4. 2 photographs
5. Crime report
6. Health report (From state hospitals or private health organisations)
7. Blood group document
8. Original of the foreign driving license (Shall be returned upon the completion of the process) Driving license fee 18.500.000.-TL
